Natural sore throat remedy?

Hello! I have a very bad sore throat for a while, and I have no natural remedy for it. Also, it leaves a VERY foul taste in my mouth. I'm thinking I might have some drainage in my throat, but can't figure out if i do or not. And I kind-of need a remedy the only requires normal household items (like honey, milk, maple syrup?)
