Headphones (all types) hurt my ear outside and in?

Anyone know of any reasons as to why my ears hurt when I wear headphones.. Like, the little ones that go INSIDE your ear make my ear ache, not due to sound.. just the pressure I suppose.. & the old school DJ style ones that go around your whole ear make the outside back kind of bit of the elastic cartilage of my ear ache just as bad...... and it doesnt even feel as though it's really pushing on it! :s Anyone have the same issues?
