Is my toe jammed or broken?

I tripped up the stairs yesterday and then fell again after tripping on fishing poles on the stairs that my dad left behind...it hurt soooo much for a few hours, and then when i woke up thi morning, it doesnt hurt to move it up, but when i move it down, it hurts like crap. help?
