"cannabis" the fuel of the future or not?

it is stated in a m of scientific literature that cannabis could easily provide the amount of bio-m needed to run our industrial usage of transport, and also provide a closed carbon cycle system, in this very dangerous world of climate change we live in (or so we are led to believe) it seems stupid of the governing bodies of the united nations to keep it clified as a narcotic so nobody can use it for fuel if it is proved to be the best alternative for bio-m than any other source, is there another agenda to this policy other than the fact that it gets people "high"? or is it to do with the big players in the oil companies, or the pharmacuetical companies, it seems very strange that it seems to be common knowledge in the scientific community of the fuel aspect of cannabis, why arent the public made aware of these factual alternatives considering the awareness of the "climate problems" the planet faces, 10 points for best answer
