Why does he keep calling me beautiful after asking me this other question?

He's a friEnd of mine that I met through my good friend. He called me beautiful when we first met, and asked me if I've ever gone beyond the kiss with a boy, which I ume means .I was truthful and said no (he is 21 and I'm 19) and also he lives in italy' I've skyped him ( I am from Italy) we didn't talk for a few months, then yesterday, he asked me to send him pics, I declined, and then he said 'just kidding. Don't worry' and then proceeds to call me beautiful again. Why even after I Reject him did he say this?
